Do you have management or IT employees working for your call center that work from home?

Look at this article : It is the future. However there are several logistical, training and HR development issues that will need to be tackled.

Charlie, what do you do?

Dadi, I know there are several different setups for *agents* working from home, but that was not the question. And I did notice that the article is about YOUR company. What management and IT employees are working from home?

There is a case for team leaders etc to spend one or two days a month working from home to write up 1-2-1s, management reports, etc. Where we allow this we ensure that this is balanced with sufficient management cover in the CC.

Work from home  [17/11/2004 15:29:47]

When I first started in call centres as an IT programmer I would work from home infrequently. It's a very good way to get more work done (because people can't come in and disturb you), but sometimes those disturbances are important.

Most IT staff in a call centre provide a support function, and this is not so effective when practiced from afar. There's no substitute for wiggling the cables.

Darryl

You could say I head up a support desk function for a WFM product.
