Age of Mellita Conversations?  [6/10/2009 19:45:56]

Can anyone tell me when Aspect introduced the Mellita Conversations dialler? Our software version appears to be 2004, but I think the dialler was developed earlier than that.

Release 1.1  [8/10/2009 19:13:24]

I don't have that particular Aspect product (yet), but their support website's Release 1.1's release notes are from June 11, 2004.

The current release is 6.1 CM01 which was released April 2009.

Melita  [25/11/2009 15:10:27]

Paul

They didn't introduce it they bought it, Melita were the grandfather of diallers (Alez Shlam invented the the first dialler and founded Melita, named for his wife if i remember)
Up until 2000 they were Melita then they bought eshare, changed the name to eshare then Divine bought eshare. Divine went bust in feb 2003 (i know as we all got made redundant) then a month later Melita was re-born, but the damage was done. In 2004 the great dialler consolidation occured which resulted in Melita and Davox (by then Concerto) being purchased by Aspect. The Melita and Concerto products were added to the aspect product lines. Conversations is a pretty old platfrom. I know this becuase i was involved in the installation of the 2nd phase Norwich Union ones (which i presume you are still using)
