Hi All,

My name is Mike & I work for an outsourcing technical call-center company called twenty4help. We also work alongside SITEL and Chennai in collaberation with some clients. We are an out-sourcing company provided services from Project Implementation to Top-Class technical support.

I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne as well {Toon in Europe oh yes!]

I am currently working on the platform and project implementation team, designing processes and work instructions from a Blue-chip client.

My name is James Prince and I run an outsourcing company in Northamptonshire, although we have just opened up a second office in Wakefield.

As a company we are heavily involved in business to business publishing of both subscription and controlled circulation magazines.

Have just discovered this thread too (and also the one on Where are you all from - so have replied in both)
Based in Bristol.
Work for Square Systems as Business Manager which means I do lots of different things including penguin-gazing... Square specialises in contact centre technology, especially in automated customer satisfaction monitoring systems and the application of open source technology in call centres.

Hello everyone. My name is Geoff Lilley (apparently, one of your countrymen in Hartlepool shares my name). I'm a Reporting Analyst in Folsom, CA, for a company called PowerSchool (a division of Pearson, which also owns Penguin and the Financial Times.) My company makes software for schools.

I work with Avaya CMS Supervisor to grab phone data for the support supervisors, and keep them abreast of the trends in data.

I'm interested in how other people have automated grabbing data from CMS to a text file/database/etc.

I have advanced certification in Microsoft Office, and use VBA on a daily basis. If I can offer any assistance or support in that regard, I would be delighted.

PS- My company also uses SalesForce for our customer management software; anyone else out there do that? Just curious.

Hi All,

just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. "Hi" :)

My name's John and I work for a pensions company (or superannuation as they call in Australia) as a manager of the call centre. My background isn't in this industry, but is very varied.

Our call centre has two main teams, one handling general enquiries and one handling more complex issues - which include the ability for the agents to meet the customers for one-to-one discussions in meeting rooms downstairs.

I'm particularly intested in modelling tools that help to analyse the performance of the call centre - mainly because we're not meeting service levels and when looking at the high level analysis, it appears that we have enough staff to handle the total number of calls.

Not that my job defines me, but...
I am a part-time agent and full-time dad in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada with Convergys Corp. My wife is a supervisor at the same centre. Without violating the terms of my contract, I can say that we both work in the same project, supporting a major cable company in the US. I started with cable TV, and moved on to our other products. Now I support internet and cable telephone, with the occasional venture outside of demark and back into TV. I also handle billing, customer retention, sales, and just about everything else. Anything to avoid transferring my customer.

I am also a freelance writer. I just finished writing Call Centre - The Musical for a provincial competition.
