CMS INTERVAL REPORT  [5/4/2006 11:22:40]

Hi,

Im trying to create a report on CMS V12 similar to the interval report but over a weekly period.
When I run it using -7--1 I get the following.

27/03/2006 08:00-08:30 2
28/03/2006 08:00-08:30 3
29/03/2006 08:00-08:30 4
30/03/2006 08:00-08:30 2

ETC.

What the business really need is this report but showing a total for the week by interval. So eg.

For 27/03/2006 - 30/03/2006

08:00-08:30 11

Hope that makes sense!

Does anyone know if this can this be done?

Thanks in advance

CMS Interval Summaries  [11/4/2006 03:00:23]

Natalie,

I don't know off the top of my head if there is a standard report in CMS that will provide this, but given the sample report you've provided, this suggests there is no reason why a summarised version couldn't easily be created in Crystal Reports. (You should check the online CMS documentation for available reports before you proceed down this path)

You could use the standard report as a template and simply add a user defined group by period, with the results provided as a sum.

You would need to have a copy of a compatible Crystal Reports version to do this.

Just let me know if you need any further info.

Regards,
Janelle

This can be done  [11/4/2006 07:52:59]

Janelle,

I have been designing using CMS for about 2 years now and what you want is definately possible,
If you wanted to only show one week at a time, then definately, all you need to do is take the date field out of the report and then sum all the fields, then when you design the report you can insert extra display fields, all you need to do then is insert the dates input field.

Only questions i have what type of data are you trying to summarise, doesn't matter in terms of possible, just for field names if you need further help

Let me know and if I can I will help you

Its all working now though!! After many many hours of playing around with it!!
