Symposium server giving a login/access error on histoircal reports and scriptin   [12/4/2011 23:41:22]

Getting access and security errors for the logins to historical reporting and scripting. Logging into the web server and symposium servers themselves is ok but in historical reporting is says :an error ocurred while connecting to the server: servername"
In Configuration tab if I click on Real time Statisics it gives and error:
IceSecurity COMSecurity 1 error '80040002 ... Sympposium Password is incorrect [40812]/ configuration RTStat.asp line 26
and Scripting gives a worng password error as well.

What happened to the link between and or my login passwords?
Assistance would be appreciated.

My first thought is that the P'word file is corrupt.

What happens if you try and create a new user login?

Might be an interesting starting point, if it does fail
you could try restoring the p'word file from an older
backup.

Not a lot at the moment, but, maybe a beginning.

Not knowing the version of Symposium you are running or if you are using the web client. If using web client or CCMA, I would reinstall the Active X control. If using the classic client on an older version, I would reinstall SOAP.
