Blue Pumpkin Automatic Holiday Assignment   [6/8/2008 18:50:41]

I assume that you only want the system to authourise a holiday request automatically if it 6 weeks or more away. If this is the case then you could set up a Filing Rule for Time Off as follows:

Time off requests affected by the rule you are creating
Time off type = Vacation
All requests of this type

When the request is filed by
Less than 42 days in advance.

If you then setup the auto processing to only approve if it doesn't conflict with filing rules then anything within the 6 week period will goto pending for one of your team to review.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Gary,

Just to confirm, when it looks at the holiday request after 6 weeks, it will still take in to account the maximum holiday quota/allocations.

Auto Processing Rules..  [11/8/2008 11:21:01]

Scott,

You're welcome.

It all depends on how you configure the auto processing rules. If you want it to take into account holiday quota then you need to ensure that you use:
"Organization has available time off hours" in additon to the filing rule. Set it to approve requests with no violations ticking both of these and you should be in business I think.
