Happy birthday to us!  [17/4/2002 12:24:58]

Hi everyone,

Today is the first birthday of CallCentreVoice. In the last year, we've seen the foundations of great things: over 1100 members, over a million page impressions, 2200+ retained postings (plus almost another 750 which have been removed along the way ;-) and a truly powerful bespoke community system.

It's been a real roller-coaster ride thus far, and the 'Voice team has grown from two to five, plus occasional moderation from long-term members. It's been exciting and fascinating watching this community blossom into something which you all seem to find really useful (judging on the survey results I've had a sneak preview of).

The next year should see dramatic growth in both the size of CallCentreVoice and its position in the call centre industry, as we forge alliances with other organisations and continue our quest to ensure that information is freely available to all in an easily accessible format.

We'd be delighted if you all would join us as we take the first steps into our second year at the cutting edge of call centre discussion.

Best wishes from the team,

John

Congrats and happy birthday  [25/4/2002 17:37:11]

John,

Congratulations to you and Lindsay and your team for creating the most sought after discussion forum. I remember the early days when I had to really think of topics to post but today it is different. There are more topics and posts all have that stamp of authority on them.Good work..

May this community grow to one of the best communities in interaction management and knowledge sharing domains.

By the way a small suggestion..

apart from most famous "where are you all from"
start " what is your birthday" and let us all wish each other on our birthday through this forum. all that you need to do john is post the list of members whose birthday falls on that day on the screen for one day.

This helps in CCV loyalty.

Happy Birthday  [16/4/2004 15:26:05]

Happy birthday to John & Co. but more than them, i guess it is for all the members who have made this happen. Some of them especially David , have contributed regularly to almost all the postings. I plan to do some myself as a resolution on this day.

Congratulations!!!

Today, CallCentreVoice is four years old. Just thought you'd perhaps like to know that. Thanks to all who continue to make this the successful community it is.

What is a post  [18/4/2005 14:44:46]

Not to in any way infer any "fixing" of the 1000th post, but is it only new topics that count or does it also include responses to other's posts.

Each answer John has given re the 1000th post is numbered 1001st post.

Will John also confirm his whereabouts last May during the Birmingham council elections.

Right to reply...  [18/4/2005 14:50:31]

A post is an individual entry in the posts table. Thus, any new topic or reply made to any existing topic (whether publicly visible or otherwise) will increment the post counter. This reply, when submitted, will increment said counter and take my tally forth by a unary digit into the unexplored territories of kilo-posting.

Damn, foiled again. I really must cover my election massaging efforts more carefully next month... ;-)

Ahh I see now  [18/4/2005 14:59:13]

The posts counter is not historic but realtime on all replies whether I am looking at your very first post or the very latest post.

Applying the same rules in the 1997 General Election would therefore have made a great difference to the Labour Government of 1979.

One last question, if you made a negative comment does that subtract from your tally ;)

Happy Birthday To Us!  [16/4/2006 18:39:53]

Today marks a milestone for CallCentreVoice - we are officially five years old.

You could, of course, show your appreciation and make a donation to help us celebrate five years of hard graft in bringing you the best call centre community on the web... with a bit of luck, there'd be enough to buy a couple of bottles of champagne or at least a few beets. I could then toast the fact that I'm also going to be a dad for the first time in the autumn... just thought I'd drop that little nugget of info in there for you all...

Anyway, all the best for another five years of CCV,

John & the Team
